Popping the blogging cherry

Well, as a means of trying to entertain myself this summer as there seems to be no sign of any decent sun, I thought I'd start a blog! In doing so I am also pacifying a few fellow blogger friends who seem to think my thoughts are worth reading (I hope only the clean ones, for their sakes). So...

Vital Stats:
I love most things in life, apart from children and women (yes its a bit contradictory seeing as I am female, but I know what I mean), my favourite things are music of the guitary variety - though my music world has been opened up considerably by one of my best friends TokioBee, said friends (including a lovely boyfriend Callum who I love dearly blah blah) and films. I'm sure there are many more things on the list of which you - and me - will find out soon enough, but these are what currently spring to mind...

I hate living in the middle of nowhere.
It's not 100% of the time, as I tend to spilt my time between here (Dad's) with Mum's, Callum's and Gina's. However, for the purpose of right now, I'm currently in the sunny village of Defford, which doesn't even have a shop, unless you count the Farm shop but I'd say my asparagus needs are quite substantiated at present, thankyou very much. It wouldn't be so bad if I could legally take the little blue Micra parked on the drive for a spin, but with 2 failed driving tests under my belt (damn you hillstarts) I'm not holding out much hope.

I'll try not to complain too much, but I'm not making any promises
I can be pessimistic at the worst of times, and neutral at the best, I'd say a kind of 'My glass just has stuff in it, I don't care how much' kind of person. I'd hazard a guess that I'm like this as I've had a turbulent (to say the least) past few years, but I'm not going to dwell on the past and suck you poor buggers in!

I'm a stickler for correct grammar, spelling and punctuation
I blame ol' Billynick and his passionate attempts to make me enjoy English Lit, but after two years and what seems like thousands of quite frankly shite books and poetry - I apologise in advance Ben, I know how much he liked The Great Gatsby, I don't particularly want to try and explain how Gatsby is a microcosm of some Roman emperor or something. No way, José. Instead, I have been left with this OCD kind of habit for pointing out grammatical or spelling errors.

I bet I sound interesting, don't I? Well, I have got all summer to practise. (and thats 'practise' as the verb, not 'practice' as the noun) :)
